After spending 20 years leading engineers in one of the most diverse organizations in world, I am turning a life-long hobby into my full-time career.
I have a passion for learning and while I may not know every technology stack, I am a quick study and enjoy passing my knowledge along to others.
Technologies I have worked with within the past year (sorted by amount used).
Technologies I have worked on in the past which would take less time to (re)gain proficiency.
Skills and traits that I bring to every project.
Even as a mechanic, I found a way to purse my passion for software and technology.
Learned how to develop web applications using Python and JavaScript using the Django and ReactJS frameworks. Curriculum also includes HTML, CSS, PostgreSQL, Object Relational Mapping, Django, AWS DevOps, Agile, GIT and working as a team with Pair Programming
As part of my transition timeline, attending the self-paced bootcamp from Coder Foundry to learn HTML, CSS, Javascript, .Net, MVC, and Postgres. Developed this website, coding challenge sites and independant web based applications listed in my portofolio.
While serving on active duty as a mechanic, completed side projects both in and outside the service. Automated legal notice generation for Sailors being administratively discharged using a restricted access static database. Leveraged a new regional CMS for NAVSEA using Sharepoint. Trained over 250 personnel in basic networking, MS Office product, and miscellaneous I.T. topics.
